Hi Everyone, Dgrin challenge 73 is here. It will run from Monday September 4th at 12:00:01 a.m. NYC time, through Monday, September 18th at Noon NYC time. The guest judge for the challenge will be the winner of challenge 72, as determined by the voters.

Remember, in order for everyone to benefit, you should be commenting and critiquing for others as much as you expect to get for yourself. You've got to give to get!

The challenge 73 theme is Synchronicity.

According to Wikipedia, Synchronicity, plainly put, is the experience of having two (or more) things happen coincidentally in a manner that is meaningful to the person or persons experiencing them, where that meaning suggests an underlying pattern.

Sure you can go with this, or you can interpret the word in your own way, too. Consider this challenge wide open :D

All of the rules of the dgrin photo challenges apply, please read them!

***Challenge 73, Synchronicity will close to entries on Monday, September 18th at 12 Noon NYC time***

Please note that entries received after the challenge period ends are ineligible and will be deleted without notice.

*** Idea from Dgrinner Aikin, in the Suggestions Thread, here.

    Synchronized Irrigation (Wheels within Wheels)
    Picture taken Sept. 9, 2006
    A newbie here.
    http://www.castwickphoto.com
This is a picture of a center pivot irrigation circle in Grant County Washington State.
I haven't yet received any input on this picture , so here is why I picked it.

I went on the Internet and did some reading on synchronicity. Here is what I found -
There are no accidents - just synchroncity wheels - the gears of time - the wheels of time - the wheel of karma - wheels within wheels - the alchemy of creation - the Philosopher's Stone - Sacred Geometry=SG=StarGate - evolution of consciousness.
I see in the picture the following -- One large wheel that is in total sync, controlled at a center pivot. The circle is controlled by a timer. This is a Wheel of Time. You can speed it up or slow it down. It makes a full revolution in a set amount of time. It contains Wheels within Wheels, hence the title of the picture. I see this wheel releasing the the Philosophers Stone (Water) that brings life to inanimate objects (seeds). A center pivot is the alchemy of creation.

The philosopher's stone, described variously, was sometimes said to be a common substance, found everywhere but unrecognized and unappreciated.
Isn't water fairly common, found almost everywhere and somewhat unappreciated ?

You must look at the bigger picture of the synchronicty - think outside the box - not at the actual event. Look at the underlying facts when the synchronicity occurs to be sure you know why you attracted that person/ situation/object into your life.
