I know, I know, you're waiting for Saturday results.. Well, there's been a lot of progress in that department, but then I had another shoot...:wink
So here's a sneak peak into Sunday's, and I'm back to finishing Saturday:-)

15524779-Ti.gif - I was all set to post a blow-by-blow C&C when I twigged to the fact that these are previews and not finished photos. I guess I'll save the whips and snide comments for when the real things are posted! :D

    I know, I know... I promise I'll work fast.
I have 2 sunset shoots coming midweek and 3(!) studio or studio/sunset combos on the weekend, and I hate when things pile up. Man, I won't get much sleep this week, if any at all...

Why an I not surprised. I just got a great little thought. Neil is your shoulder devil and I'm your shoulder angel. I say all the boring stuff like stay in school and don't make a date with anyone younger than 18. Neil just says fire! fire! and other things.
Maybe once I get photoshop, because now it's deeply apparent that's THE software to get, I'll explore that idea.
I have a Dodo and an Anteater on my shoulders... so that's why everything I say sounds like crack.rolleyes1.gif
I'm curious how you handle the mounds of the feminine body Nik. I'm curious what sort of male photographer you are. I'm just saying if there are any eagles of the spread variety... I'm going to have to tell you to stay in school and not date anyone under 18.

No, I don't do porn, spread eagle is the last thing I want to capture. However it's all about freedom of speech, so to speak. Some ideas require more clothing, some require more body. I am not going to stop myself by the politically correct unisex/nosex attitude. Since the inception of what's generally accepted as "classic art" naked human body was an essential part of it. And while I'm not comparing myself to Michaelangelo, DaVinci, El Greco, Goya, Rubens, Manet, etc. bowdown.gif I really don't see why we should resort to photographing empty streets, flowers and birds while there is some natural stunning beauty around us, hidden just under 1/16" of clothing and a much thicker layer of "public morale"...mwink.gif

I have discussed this issue ad nauseum. I've rewritten this very response about four times now. The gist: if I'm to shoot a nude I want nipples, crotch and anus covered. I worry about context. If I were shooting the 3 Graces from the Primavera painting, then it's sheer togas and some crafty taping. Nude thongs can go a long way. You can appear nude without actually being.
Then again, I'm not male. A man will get out of an image of a woman nude what a woman won't and I don't want to argue semantics and biology. *insert tired rant about having breasts not all that great*
Variety, spice of life, there's just a couple of spices that leave a bad taste in my mouth so I won't eat them! If you like chili pepper, have all the chili pepper you want! Metaphor!
So, really, I've turned down models because they want to do full frontal and shoots for Hustler and the like but it's not my niche. I'd rather dress you up like Alice in Wonderland and dress a set rather than go minimalistic.
The only audience for your art is you, so please yourself.deal.gif
There's my response. I need some bread, or an energy bar or something.

rolleyes1.gif Why don't you work with a studly male model and get him all naked at the sunset and drape him in manly cloth like denim and vinyl.

Males are boring. Muscular males are twice boring. Yet again, I'm a male myself, so ti's probably just me. mwink.gif
At any rate I don't do them TF*. I'm a firm beleiver that a man should pay his own dues. For a right female, I'm willing to make an exception :-)rolleyes1.gif

All the bodyscapes I've mapped out have involved Asian, full body tattooed males. You go with your inspiration I guess...... then again when I was mapping I was sitting in a Sushi bar looking at the wall art...headscratch.gif
Hmm. They pay you to shoot them nude... interesting.
I guess I've been approached even though in all my bios it says "no nudes, please" because I'm a girl and we have nude slumber parties all the time so really, there's no difference.rolleyes1.gif
I hope my response isn't seen as flaming in either case. I just have a strong opinion on the subject but the only standard is the one I hold for myself. I choose not to do nudes. I like costumes too much. Corsets and garters and all the lacy things in between however, are fair game. Lingerie is just racy costuming and corsets [tho they hurt] look fab.:D

Uhm, no, I don't do nude guys. Or nude couples. At all. Being offered, politely declined. Not my thing, you know.
The best thing about not having an official 100% registered/licensed/bonded studio is that I can deny my services to anybody and offer them to anybody at a any rate I want (including free of charge) without having too much a risk of my a$$ being sued like that guy mentioned in MYOB who refused to cover same sex marriage.

Is that California law or overall photo law? Nude couples would be weirdeek7.gif . I think "For Hubby" Bride pictures are cute.
That's crazy. I thought you reserved the right to refuse service?

The bright area to her left (our right) is her left shoulder. The dark spot next to her chin is an earring (or some such). The bright area in the lower right corner is her upper chest.

Took me a while to figure it all out as well.

Nik-- you can always say, "I'd love to help you out but my schedule is completely booked up." :D

Anyway, back to your pics. Interestingly the top UK fashion models (Kate Moss & Agness Deyn) regularly appear nude in the top UK fashion/style mags. Sure hasn't hurt their careers. And in Kate's case, neither did coke, but that's another issue.

Just pointing this out because there is a high-end market for tasteful nudity and that includes most of the European editions of Vogue.

i-D magazine recently devoted an entire issue (!) to Agness and they actually played off her androgynous looks with nude shots-- kind of blurs the line between male/female. Definitely in the artistic column without much overt sexuality.

    Hey Guys :-)

I love at most the 2nd one. It is the perfect light, you catch the light in the eyes. I love it and I work same way if I do portraits ;-)
This is the most important measurement point.

The smile is great what you catch. She is a lovely girl and with the best
photograph she is much more above-average.

    Again:´GOOD JOB :-)
