Alright - the big one! It's really simple- Let's find out what you think is

The Dgrin Photo Of The Year - 2005

Send your entry to: dgrin@email.smugmug.com, with the password dgrinphoto in the subject line. Your caption goes in your email. Just attach your photo (150Kb or less please, 800px max on the longest side) and you're all set! Only ONE entry per member. Can be any photo, so long as it was taken in 2005 *and* it was shared here on dgrin this year. Challenge entries are acceptable also. All dgrinners are eligible, including our hard-working, volunteer moderators.

(here's an example of the email and how it should look) EDIT: BE SURE AND PUT YOUR NAME IN THE CAPTION, TOO!
45997875-L.jpg

Further help is available here.

Submit your entry by December 22nd, 2005.
[EDIT: date changed by Mike Lane to reflect the extension]

I'll put all the photos in this gallery on dgrin.smugmug.com.

We'll vote in two rounds. First, we'll vote on ALL THE ENTRIES. Then, we'll have a finalist vote on the top 10.

The winner gets bragging rights!

Does it have to be in the form it was posted? For example, can we "gussy up" a shot with frames, etc, or edits that were suggested here but never actually posted?

Any edits you like. Let's stay away from frames, make the shots stand out on their own.

Yeap, originally posted here. Which brings up an interesting point... is it that it has to have been shot this year or shown on dgrin this year? (Though he says it was taken last year in the thread, the exif says it was taken in January.)

My statement 'last year' was meant 'last winter', ... and that's still this year :D

I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"
