The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

All of these shot with an Olympus C2100UZ with a Skyylight 1A filter. I did crop the octopus lightly to get rid of a light source on the edge of the image. I was honestly surprised how well they turned out when taking them through the glass. I expected glares, magnification issues and general unsharpness. The background behind the spined fish is a little too close and could probably use some blurring in PShop.

Whoa, that octopus shot is just eerie. How could a real creature be like that? And the lighting makes it look surreal.

Nice shots. I did not do so well working with available light in Barcelona.

I keep stuffing pics that I put up here in http://www.iisc.com/dgrin/ including

The above was a 100mm 1/8sec f4.5

The one below was 35mm 1/45sec f3.5

Whoeee that octopus really turned out well. Totally black background and such white colors... like it was mounted and posed.

Ya know, KC, that squid shot would make a great mousepad.
