Studio Shots :o)

I am not much of a studio photographer, do most of my shots on-site, ... but a friend of mine (who is 6.6 months pregnant) decided to move to Florida, so I though I should take some more professional photos ... for once ...

We had SOOO much fun (I rented a prof. studio for some hours), that I might become conviced to do that on a regular basis. :lust I love how the photos came out, all shot with natural light.

C&C welcome, as always ....

Those are awsome. Are you doing to do her delivery images? I was asked to do be in the labor and delivery room for a cousin. I said I would...now I'm scared.

Anyway those are wonderful ... good job. What is a proof studio?

    Thank you :o)

No, she'll actually move to Florida tomorrow, so it was all very last minute (shot the photos 2 days ago), and my wedding season is just abotu to kick in this weekend

Just rented a professional studio. I just have a tiney studio back home, and not always the best natural light, so I thought it would be a good investment to get a larger space with big windows ...

Oh, good luck with your delivery images ... outch ... haha, I am not sure if I would be able to do that without passing out rolleyes1.gifGet some shots of the soon-to-be-dad (if he'll be in the room too) ... haha ...

    great job
I've tried maternity shots a couple times...I am horrible at it...at least for now.

You did a great job, with the technical stuff and the mood. The only one I had a problem with is number 2. On the bottom corner you can't tell the back ground from the subject. Other than that little corner I love the photo. The tilt looks cool and her hair.

Thanks Karrie. You are right about that corner, I was actually just thinking it too ... I'll see if I can go back a step, since I should still have the RAW.

    Thank you!

These are all gorgeous. You said "available light" do you mean studio light? Or were there some really nice windows at this place?

so, you mean all you had for lighting was the natural light coming in from the windows, a few backdrops, maybe a fan, and a beautiful model?? Fabulous! How did you get to rent out the space?

    These are exceptional!!clap.gif

    Thanks Briggie iloveyou.gif Haha, yup, that's all I had ... :D

I found a little ad in a photo lab around the corner (she was looking for an other photographer to share the rent with), and I asked her if she would rent it out by hour too, and she said yes :D ... I wish I took a photo of the studio. It was in a huge industrial building. Loft style .... so the windows were about 10/11 feet. wings.gif
