Tutorials

Ever find yourself wondering just how someone managed to create an image using different effects?

Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Africa!

Dgrinners Harryb, Pathfinder, and others joined Andy Williams and Marc Muench on Safari in East Africa recently. Here are some awesome threads to check out!

Two unknown bugs...
...but then most are unknown to me.

This first bug was quite difficult to capture as there was a light breeze that kept blowing him out of view. It did drop off enough for me to get a few shots to choose from, this being the best of the bunch.

I was about to leave for home when I felt something small hit my hand. I looked down and this next one was just sat there. I was able to get quite a few images.

The eye here looks OOF, but when I zoom in on the original it looks fine (ish).

Anyone have any comments on this

NICE PHOTOS, first beetle i think is a - viburnam beetle-Pyrrhalta viburni . hundreds of them destroyed a large shrub last spring.
2nd could be a species of shield bug, brian will probably know.
