All time best -- Individual Sports

Rules for All Time Best Threads

Actually, this game has only one rule. You can only have one all time best photograph in any given category. This follows from the definition of "all time best".

You may make a gallery of you best shots in a category and post a link to it. I find that doing this helps focus the mind on choosing the best. And besides, it's fun.

Action photography is just too big a category for an all time best, so I've broken it up a little. I thought I'd start with individual sports because I have a clear favorite shot for this. Taken last winter in Telluride, CO. I don't know the girl on the snowboard.
This is one photo that needed no retouching at all. Not even cropping. Sometimes everything works the way it is supposed to. But not often.

Individual Sport

Rutt's shot is much better, but I thought this was pretty good considering the equipment (Point & Shoot Olympus - major lag time) This guy is about 72 yrs old.

Hmmmm, action is pretty tough to capture on my little point-n-shoot Olympus but this is my favorite.

Very nice, but you can only have one all time best (by definition). I'd take the second one, but perhaps that's because I don't ride motorcycles.

The motorcycle crowd should start a "All Time Best - Motorcycles" thread. I think it would quickly eclipse all my ATB threads put together in number of replies.

I'll pick the second as well.

Nice shot, Tim. I'd like to see a supermotard race.

It was OK in color, but I just didnt like it as much. It seemed to lack something, maybe the color mix was a bad balance or too dull? I dont remember exactly why I changed it, but I know I liked to B+W better. Thanks for the positive comments.
