Hi everyone,

We're very sorry about the outage tonight - our engineers are working as fast as possible on restoring things to normal. More as we get it.

    Andy -

I love the new graphic. It is nice to see this to know there is a problem. I never worry that you are fixing it but I like the way you are informing on this one.:D

Like the new method of notifying though the graphic looks a bit childish to people coming to my business site. Hope it gets resolved soon.

    thanks for the update Andy
I agree that the new notice is nice to have (instead of "unable to reach... " or some similar message), and I appreciate your post.

    Regards,
    Marc

    Holy smokes!
Holy smokes... this must be "a doozy" :-)

Timing could not have been better, I was sending out an email blast to the web designers and printers about my site being nearly finished...
guess they were in for a big surprise if they took a peek tonight :-(

Smugmug is still the best! As long as they can cut down on these service interruptions. Wouldn't want to be in their shoes (the pressure must be huge)

Don't know if it's related to the outage or not, but I just tried (unsuccessfully) to send an email share.

Do you mind telling us what happened to cause this, and is the Jan 20th outage related as well?
"A photo is like a hamburger. You can get one from McDonalds for $1, one from Chili's for $5, or one from Ruth's Chris for $15. You usually get what you pay for, but don't expect a Ruth's Chris burger at a McDonalds price, if you want that, go cook it yourself." - me
