Well, had the opportunity to go once again (as I do each year) and came away with some to include in the new book. It wasn't as cold nor as much snow as last year but still was productive. We went in West Yellowstone to Old Faithful, then back.

    Gorgeous photos.

I visited YS last summer for the first time in my life. I had about 4 hours, but I could have filled two weeks, easily.

I see that it's an altogether different world in the winter. You captured it beautifully.

I really like 'Temperature Change'- 'Cool'- and the two black & whites. Never been there but looks like the winter is a fantastic time to go.

    Thanks for the awesome post.thumb.gif

    Yellowstone
    David,

Wow! Those are great shots! clap.gif

I've always wanted to go to Yellowstone in the winter and snowmobile through the park. You're right, it doesn't look like much snow.

My favorites are the last two. Now I'm off to go look at the others in your gallery. Thanks for sharing!

Very inspiring shots of Yellowstone! Lovely snow and gorgeous colors. I like the artsy shot, whether or not you were tongue-in-cheek about that. :D

The colors in #3 look unreal. The blue with the pink/brown... wow!

Very nice! I visited Yellowstone this past summer for the first time, and craved for more time there. I especially would like to visit in the winter. Capturing photo's like those you've captured would be a bonus. thumb.gif

    Thanks all!
I look forward to my trip each Winter there. We had a nice mix of clouds and sun that day. Some years its overcast without much decent light. Last year was nothing short of spectacular being -40 the night before and 4 foot of snow 3 days before our arrival. I was hoping to get addtional shots that would complete the book and am very greatful the day cooperated.

Now, the book design...should be fun. Thanks for weighing in everyone. You'd never know I love landscapes mwink.gif
