I had no idea where to post this. Moderator, move it if it transgresses!
Does anybody know if there's a way to dig out the number of shutter actuations on a D70?

    Hey John,

    Try here.

If that doesn't help enough. Post a link to a recent picture in this thread. Someone will dig it out for you.

    Cheers,
    -Jon

    NOTE:
I'd guess it belonged in digital darkroom.
    EDIT: I guessed wrong!

Nope. Try downloading the IPanda exif reader yourself. Shoot a jpg and open it in the IPanda reader. It should give it to you. Don't know why it doesn't seem to work when you upload the file, but I can't read it.

Thanks a bunch John, for the quick reply
I already looked at opanda and unfortunately I'm running a mac and cant install it.
If I emailed you a raw photo, would that work? Its a 6meg file so email should handle it
    Thanks again,

    Bryan

RAW files won't work, it has to be a jpg -- or so I found out when checking before I sold my D300. (clarify: as in, shoot in jpg. not a RAW->jpg conversion)

I'm on a mac and used a program called EXIF Viewer. google it.

    good luck!

The progam generically named "EXIF Viewer" for Mac works great, I just checked my D300 and D200 shutter counts. 210,000 on the D300, and 70,000 on the D200!
