Second Wedding - Chereka & Rushaun
August 18th, 2007 in Chicago. Any and all feedback you can provide me would be awesome, continually trying to improve over here, thanks!!

I found this one a little more challenging since *everything* was shot inside, whereas my first wedding *everything* was shot outside.

First I'll start with my absolute favorite shot, and then we'll go back to order after that:
1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

7.

8. -> I think he thought I was crazy after I had them do this pose, lol

9. -> Entering the reception, sure one happy bride!

10. Yes I realize in the future most people say to put the woman's hand on top, will be doing this in the future...

11.

12. He just took it off her leg with his teeth...

13. Making sure everyone knows who caught the garter

The rest of my favorites can be found here:

So thoughts, comments, critiques?

Your groupshots are very formal but look good. If they want formal you did a great job. In the less formal shots, I think they would look better with a bit of blurred background. Using a wider aperture would make it complete for me...
It's not easy shooting inside, so keep up the good work

Sheema, you did a great job! I love how you handled all the white in your pictures , well done. Group shot is very good in my opinion. I'm curious what settings it takes to photograph dark skins, or is it in PP? It must be challenging, but appears that you did well.

The expression on her face when he goes under the dress!!

Love the shots! I wish I could see a few more closeups of her alone and them both.

#7, nice job!

Question: a few of the shots why use ISO 400 and 800 and even 1600 with flash?
Looks like you used program mode which locked you at f4, 1/60, so all the iso did was add noise which may be a problem for larger prints.

You know I can right click save the originals?

Yeah I know you can, I need to fix that.

And it was pretty dark so I had bumped the ISO up and forgot to pull it back down, probably should have. I'm still getting used to getting into more fully manual modes, but once I get the hang of it and don't feel like i'm potentially going to ruin shots I'll stop taking em on P heh

Lightroom custom white balance where you use the dropper to select a neutral spot is my best friend. I'm quickly becoming a pro at fixing just about any white balance mess up, I love that little tool. Thanks for the vote of confidence :)

My favorites are 7, 12 & 13. I think #4 is a great shot that could use a little more cropping. Nice set

Great series- you captured a lot of emotion here and I think the feelings of the day. I really love 4, 5, 6, 12, & 13. Lighting and w/b looks good throughout.

One nit-pick is the church pews in the foreground of the formals. Did you not have a wide enough lens to get the shot and avoid it?

I think the couple should be very happy here.

No I didn't :/ My lens went down to 24mm... I need to get something even lower for situations like this, but alas, being only my second wedding, do not have the money for such things just yet.

Thanks for the feedback :)
