Congrats to you all! Some really great shots in there!

I'm going to give my cat a pat on the head, kiss my little girl and then go to cry myself to sleep.

Congratulations!

Congrats to all the winner! I'm pleased that I got a mention. Don't know what the points mean but I'll take them! Maybe I can trade them in on a nice meal... perhaps some steak and lobster?

Bummer! Skunked again!

Congratulations to all the winners!

For the last two rounds I've entered photos that incorporated my hiking boots while I was relaxing sedately and free(dom)ly.

I get the message..... NO MORE FEET!

Thanks to everyone that provided feedback and thanks to all who entered such great photographs.

The fact my picture wound up in the top ten is testimony to the quality of feedback one can receive from the helpful members of this forum. I was pretty much ready to ask the moderator to remove my entry of the crosswalk symbols (which was apparently a universal dud) and sit this round out when the members of the forum started giving me great tips and suggestions and even photo-editing advice on my other picture. Their help even overcame my inability to use my camera correctly half the time (see my post on the Behind-the-scenes thread for full recap of my blunders) to help me produce the final entry.

So a big thanks to hawkeye978, KvPhoto, PaulThomasMckee, dlscott56, Debboggy, Llywellyn, emmalou, and especially Sizam for the encouragement, advice and tips on helping me with this entry. It wouldn't have happened without your help. Thanks a ton!

And a big thanks to the judges!

One question - Since I qualified for the semi-final last round, should the next person on the list get selected as a semifinalist for the semifinals round?

nope, if you qualify twice (high five!!!) that means you increase your odds.

I am on an emotithingy roll and no one can stop me.

YAY!!!

Being my first time entering, I was sure I was going to do something wrong and not even be eligible. Thank you so much judges and everyone who helped me polish up my Escape entry. I'm so excited to be selected for the semi-finales.

This is the first recognition of any kind I've had for my photography, so it's very encouraging. And now that I've re-read the rules more carefully, the thought of prizes in the next round is even more exciting!!!

Congratulations to all the other semi-finalists! Great job everyone and Pat, keep hogging those top spots--less competition is a good thing. (And I could use all the help I can get. )
