No dogs nor teenagers were injured in the making of these shots!!!!! (In fact, this isn't even the real sequence of events!)

Actually this is Caucasian Ovcharka, a breed from Russia. They get anywhere between 90 to 150lb. They were bred for herding mostly, but they are also an excellent guard dogs.

Hi Ryan

I know exactly how old he is - this is my dog Kelso, and my son. Kelso will be 4 next month. My son will be 17 this summer.

Kelso is a mixed breed. His dad was
St. Bernard x Akita
His mom was
St. Bernard x Great Pyrenees/black lab

Kelso weighs about 130, the boy about 195 lbs.

Kelso still has a really thick winter coat - keeping him safe from the horrific mosquitos we have right now.

Thanks
ann

Hi Marina

He actually looks most like a Leonberger - also guard/herd dogs from Germany.

Hey

I just looked up that breed
they do look like Kelso, but the temperment description is so far from his temperment - he is gentle and loving. But the puppy photos look just like him!

Here is the description of a Leo
the temperment description here is exactly right for Kelso - if the moment becomes too intense, he will leave!

Oh, no worries at all Skippy. He loves everyone! We will have more issues from our cats (if they still are around in September).
Thanks
