Where this started is also the place to end, I guess. If hope, sprit and support was what it took, you folks are the best, the very best. G would have really loved this thread, the caring. A beloved friend is gone, but her light, her art will be with all of us forever.

EDIT By Andy: Memorial Thread here:
http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=60680

Figured this was the best place to reach you Andy.

Ginger has been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia, she is very sick. While the bacteria that caused the pnemonia has cleared there are other issues, problem is the Dr,'s don't know what they are. They have ran extensive tests and those results will be back next week.

I though the Dgrin crew would like to know.

That's really sweet, thanks a lot, Andy! I'm sure that made her day. Good job also letting us know in the DP community - not everyone's checking the board here unless she/he got a problem.

My thoughts go to Ginger and I wish her a quick recovery!

    Ginger update
Things are starting to look up.

The 02 on the ventilator was turned down from 75% to 40%, this is really wonderful news. The Drs feel that they will be able to wean her off the vent and wake her up within a week. The Drs also say that it could take a year for her kidneys to be back to normal, but this is normal under these conditions.

So while the improvements may seem small they aren't and she is way past where she was just last Saturday, not out of ther woods completely, but boy, her family is starting to breath again. So are the rest of us.

For Ginger, I would like to thank all of you for you thoughts, prayers and support. It has made a difference.

Thanks for the update. Although I don't really know Ginger, I can empathize with her family, having gone through this sort of thing with my own family. Positive attitudes can make all the difference in the world. :):

Thanks again Thusie for the updates. This is good news. Sometimes it takes a lot of little baby steps to get out of those "woods". We're pulling and praying for you everyday, Ginger!
