X-Country Match

A few monthe ago my daughter joined Reading Athletics Club, last week she had her first match in the county league.

This type of thing is completely new to me, so introduced me to a whole new set of challenges. It gave me me a chance to try out, (unsuccesfully), the A1 servo on the camera: NOTE: rtfm before, not after the event . and also left me with a need for big glass

Anyway, here are a few pictures

A reluctant pre match pose from my daughter(middle) and friends

Warming up

Moaning about having her picture taken "AGAIN!"

On Your Marks!!

The hill takes its toll (or maybe it was the muffin)

The finish

Very nice, especially

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to shoot these events a few years ago and never got one this good. Great colors.

Thanks Rutt, cloudy, gloomy days seem to be excellent for colours.

She finished about halfway, I think for her first time out she did very well... made me go all emotional watching her finishing, I was so busy shouting and clapping that I forgot to get her picture.

Thanks Nir

Very good work Gubbs ^5

Nice shots with great color. I dunno about your overcast statement. I don't seem to get this kind of saturation when it's overcast......lol

Congrats to your girl I know she didn't win, but to even finish is an accomplishment

Thanks for sharing,
Steve
