At the center of London can be found Trafalgar Square. Always full of life, it is particularly nice just as the sun sets.


The view from Waterloo Bridge with the London Eye and Thames. It is certainly worth the wait for a trip on the Eye.


Admiralty Arch and the Mall


The Tate Modern and Millenium Bridge.


London is packed with art galleries and museums, here is the National Gallery.

And of cause, the London Underground. The largest and oldest metro network in the world.

I live just down the road from central London, but hate the place (too busy, too many people, too little space etc) but you've inspired me to take a wander up there with a different eye.

What a wonderful journey, your images are stunning
I love the soft light you have capture in that very first image
The lighting in all those shots looks great
Your second shot almost looks like a painting.
The B&W's look great too, especially the two train station shots
I remember it was 1983 when I was there, and Big Ben was covered in scaffolding and being sand blasted at the time.

You've captures some beautiful images on this Journey,

Thanks to all for your kind comments! I woke up this morning thinking it was about time I popped over there again. Just a pity I am too busy for the next couple of months.

Hi p27rpy, no, it's not HDR. But I did use Photomatix on a single RAW image to increase the dynamic range of the photo. I then brought it into photoshop and used curves with some dodging and burning until I got the result shown. I do use HDR in other situations though, and you can see my HDR gallery here: http://jcp.smugmug.com/gallery/2407372
