My Goose Is Frozen!
Ok, here is a couple of shots that I took last weekend, and I was sure that this guy was frozen to death, but after a minute I seen him move.

Thanks for the comments on these images, as for helping this Canada goose, well there was some one with a big bag of bread and this bird was getting more then his share that's for sure. I was there for a few hours, and after some warm sun and being in the water helped in getting most of the ice off his wings. It sure was cold that morning I tell you, and I don't know how the birds can handle it, but it's just those nice warm feathers.

Thanks again for the comments.

Excellent detail! Love the first shot, but the second really shows how iced up that poor goose is! Did you at least invite him home for a hot toddy and a warm sit by the fireplace??? You just wonder how birds survive in that kind of weather.

Hi saurora, thanks for the kind words on these images, and I agree it was the first shot that I liked, and I added the second one in to just show how much ice was on this bird. Bringing this guy home is right, I wished, but after a while, this Canada Gosse was holding his own, and getting in there for food that others brought to the park with them.

I agree, it sure makes you wonder how they survive for sure.

Thanks again for the comments.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Hi ian408, I agree they can really stay out there in the cold weather for sure, but it goes go show you how warm those feathers keep them warm during the cold winter.

Thanks for the comments.
