ohhhhhhhhh wow. what a shot. i always look forward to your posts. You have quite an arsenal of 'lightbuckets' and get the most phenomenal performance out of them.

    +1

Great isolation of the subject in lowlight. I'm just a wee bit distracted by the framing, but not enough to surpress the "wow." thumb.gif

I think they borrowed the Ass's head from the Washington Ballet... it looks very familiar to one I've seen before.

I'm working on a production of Dream now, so neat to see these. GJ.

I'm sure it's the very same head. The way these ballets work, when the company buys the rights for the ballet from the company that owns it (in this case The New York City Ballet), they get the use of the scenery, costumes, scores, &etc.

your excellent ballet work is consistent. thumb.gif

my favorite is the picture of kathleen. the fog on the ground looks incredible, i hope you have more shots with the fog like that.

these pictures are incredible, especially considering how little light you have. i mean, iso 1600 and f1.2, i don't know how these shots look that sharp.bowdown.gif

Very Nice to see those ballet shots, Rutt. They are excellent as always, but nice to "hear" from you and know you are out and about, still.

    wow!
    Beautiful shots, rutt!

My favourite is #1, the composition is far from trivial or formulaic, and you also succeeded in making great use of the DOF control available to you. It's superb IMHO!

Thanks a lot for sharing these!
    Cheers!

That's what I was thinking, too. I sure they've been well Margulised, but even so... amazing quality. Great shots all round, as always.
