The second shot and the last one are the best for me.
    The second by it's composition.
The tree in foreground is very important to the picture giving a sense of deepness. thumb.gif
The fourth picture doesn't have anything in the foreground plan but has lines, curves, textures and colours very pleasant to the eye.thumb.gif

One day I'll go to the States to feel such a place ! thumb.gif

After writing the previous post I when back there to re-view the pictures.

The other 2 pics are also very good.thumb.gif

I would cut the sky out of the 1.st one.

They also have curves, textures, lines...

But I like best - as I said before - the 1.st and the 4th

Beautiful shots, Aaron. Really nice compositions and exposures.

I always get overwhelmed at huge open places like this and find it hard to compose interesting shots. That's why I like shooting wildlife. Compositions are easy -- get the bird! rolleyes1.gif

    Antonio and Joel thank you!

Joel- tell you what- we do a meet up and I will show you how I look at things and you teach me about birds.

The canyon was difficult because it is so big and impossible to capture it like you see it. The haze really sucks too- which is just about always there. I am sure you are finding out too our Arizona sun can provide incredible light or just make it impossible.

Pretty cool shots, Aaron. In the #2 tree shot were you shooting from above, or was the tree just shorter? I like the downward perspective.
