I know there is some sort of biography in the customization page in the control panel. I tried to reference it on my navbar. Turns out this is not what I want. I searched on "creating a bio" within the customization threads but it wasn't clear to me what needed to be done in the threads that were retrieved. A little help? Thanks.

I think this is probably what you are looking for.

Create a gallery called "About Me", or "Bio" or whatever you like and follow the above instructions. Then link that gallery to your navbar.
