SmugBrowser - Firefox/Flock Extension BETA

Well, this is a project that I have been working on and off with for the past couple of years, but never got around to releasing.

So finally, introducing SmugBrowser...

Supports:-
- Firefox

Features include..
- Creating/Updating/Deleting Albums.
- Unlimited photo uploading.
- Log into multiple accounts at the same time.
- Customize galleries in BULK at Account, Category or Subcategory levels.

Known Issues:-
- Setting the incorrect file permissions in Linux (0664 instead of 0700). Will fix for next release.

18/03/2008 v0.5.5 - Added SquareThumbs and security changes.
23/11/2007 v0.5.3 - Added SmugMungous options, photo sharpening, watermarks and communities.
14/06/2007 v0.5.2 - Fixed error message on Standard accounts when building the tree
08/06/2007 v0.5.1 - Added support for SmugSearchable and WorldSearchable
20/12/2006 v0.3.11 - Fixed incorrect access permissions on Linux (thanks Tanveer)
- Fixed login issue with non-standard characters (thanks BWG and Al)

Download it here. Once installed, run from Tools->SmugBrowser

Cheers,

David

TypeError: Browser has no properties...

That's the only thing that I can get the smugbrowser to say. I had a previous iteration of smugbrowser that was awesome, so I must have messed something up. Any thoughts?

Thanks Guys

Don's just released a new version of the API which resolves most of my outstanding problems.

So private albums are now available...and i will release a new version with other stuff later.

Cheers,

David

I created an albumn, and then uploaded photos. On my site, the gallery got created correctly, but no photos? No record of them being uploaded in my log files...but they uploaded for some time, and after each completed, the tool (Smugbrowser) reported the photos as 'uploaded"...

Anybody have any photos they don't think are theirs?

There is a chance that the images didn't actually upload even though it said it did.

Dev, this thing is hot snot on a silver platter. Seriously this has already saved me so much time. Awesome! It's so cool that I can log into several different accounts at the same time. This will definitely be my only smugmug uploading tool from here on out.

Oh and the bulk update tool, excellent touch!

Out of curiosity, it shows in the options an option for view image size. I've set it to Large URL. Is this a feature that is still being worked on or am I missing something? I'm just not seeing a large image anywhere.

Also I accidentally put in one of my accounts twice into the new account part. Is there a way to remove an entry on the left pane if you no longer want it?

Again, fantastic tool! What a tremendous help this is going to be for lots of people.

Hey Mike,

Firstly, thanks for your kind words and your endorsement

hehe, man it was so easy to implement, it was almost a crime not to have it. It's not quite implemented the way i want it, ultimately, I want it in a wizard format with a check tree, so you don't have to update every album within one category etc.

For a few reasons, I decided to release this version as it was. Previously, I had larger images loading on their one tab, but instead I want to do something kinda like the SM lightbox. I just haven't had the time to do it.

I need to add that as an option, another thing on the list. If you want to know how to remove it, IM me and i'll tell you.

Cheers,

David

Hi Gary,

No unfortunately this will only work on Mozilla based browsers. The attraction of using Mozilla browsers was the multi-os support that is built-in by default.

Cheers,

David
