Hello everyone. Just want to introduce myself here and give a big helllooooo! Not really sure if this is the right area to put in a "hello" thread or not...but here goes...

I just got my new Nikon D70 yesterday and I'm pretty darned excited about this guy! This is my first experience ever with an SLR camera, let alone a Digital SLR camera, so I've got much to learn. I've had my Sony S85 Cybershot for close to 4 years and have pretty much put it through it's paces. I wanted to step up and so far, I'm pretty happy that I did.

Anyway, here's some of my first shots. Right now all these were taken on the auto setting. I'm still playing around and learning the camera bit by bit. But, any critiques, lashes with wet noodles, etc are quite welcome!

There's a few other pictures in my smugmug account if you feel like taking a look...
