Out on the Weekend
I haven't posted much lately been busy with work.

Here' a few IRs and one color from a little bike ride.

Tracks by an old dam and lock on the Ohio River.

The side of the lock building.
No longer a working lock/dam.
It is part of Thomas More College now.

This is the "dorms" where students live for studing at the locks.
Very cool sight when driving along the Ohio.

When I was finished at the dam I went down along river and stopped at St.Ann's Convent.
This was the backdrop for some of the filming of Rain Man.
I finally got permission to shoot here and I hope to go back.
Here's a few shots.

Here's the famous driveway the one in Rain Man.

And one color shot.

Thank for the look

Fred - The IR's are nice especially the Rain Man driveway; super sharp. I like the color shot the best, love the light on the statue. PP? 2 images? ND filter? How'd you capture that one?

Love these! Usually IR does not do it for me, but these are really well done.

Moody, surreal, dreamlike.

I'm not an IR fan, but #6 is very well done. Great tones! And I like the last one, with the statue in the background.

I like this one, Fred.

Looks like the forest (as a part of nature) is advancing to reclaim it's own.

Todd thanks

The one with the statue was don with Photoshop.
Basically you dupe the backdround layer then gaussian blur abt 10 I think.
Then set to screen blend mode.

Yes it is a very cool scene not sure if I captured it like I had seen it.
The trees look as if they are taking back the graveyard.

And also it looks like work is finally letting up...so I hopt to be able to shoot and post more.

Thanks Ric
