Update - Nikon Coolpix 5400 defective sensor
Hi All -
About a month ago, I posted that my out-of-warranty 5400 had gone dead with a defective sensor. The original thread is here: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=40913
Anyway, I sent Nikon support an email. They wrote back and said, "send it in", which I did. I got a letter about a week later telling me they were going to fix it, total charges to be $0.00.
The 5400 is not on Nikon's published list of cameras known to affected by the bad sensors, but they clearly don't have a problem with fixing them out-of-warranty.
No shouting required...way to go, Nikon.
