There are some rare and obscure problems occuring with the site, and we're thinking it might have to do with our new load balancers.

In roughly an hour (we don't have an exact time nailed down, I'm sorry for the guess) we're going to switch back to our old setup. I would expect downtime to be less than 5 minutes, but you never know.

We're terribly sorry about not having any time to give you more notice, but we've gotta get this problem figured out and we're running out of options.

Thanks for understanding.

Don

We'll be starting any minute now. Hopefully it won't last long.

    Thanks,

thanks for the notice! For what it's worth, I had some trouble last night uploading -- the green smuggy would never appear on the universal loader, just the grey screen with the coffee cup. I figured it was part of the glitches of some of the upgrades you guys have been doing. Good luck!!!

    Things should be back up.

They'll be slow for 5 - 10 minutes while things get off the disk and back into RAM in the various pieces of our architecture. Please bear with us.

We're monitoring and testing things, hopefully they'll be fixed and we can all get on with our lives. :)

I'm having problems creating a new gallery - I will create one, but then it does not appear anywhere. Could this be a related issue?

Big improvement (good work fixing these issues so quickly!).

Now I can see my galeries, but if I delete one it does not go away from my list of galeries. Clicking on a "deleted" galery redirects me to the smugmug home page.

    Hi Don,
That issue related to deleting a gallery does not happen any more - it seems like it was a temporary issue. Thanks so much for following up with me about it.

not sure what LB's you are using but one thing that has bitten us
is the ability for the box to properly pass session cookies between
the pieces of our site reliably. I feel your pain.
