Nice wildlife places
Hi there. Apart say from Africa (kenya, mt kilimanjaro) wherelse do you think it's good to have a photo opportunity for wildlife animals both birds and really wild life like lions, tigers, elephants etc.
Also, are there any zoos you know that really has a big area and that it allows animals to roam around an open area rather than put them inside a cage? Tell me where and what zoo. Many thanks kent |

San Diego's Wild Animal Park (Actually in Escondido, about a half-hour north). You can see cheetahs and rhinos running around all over, for instance. Only a few cages but, when we're talking about the extremely RARE California Condors, it's only because they're not ready to be released yet.
You know, there may be a deal there yet that, for a couple hundred bucks or so, you get to CAMP OUT in that park and see what goes on there after "normal business hours"

I've been pretty impressed with the North Carolina zoo (link). They have an exhibit of the African plains animals (elephants, hoofed animals, etc) that, I swear, is nearly 1/2 mile from one end to the other and about 1/4 mile across. They have a number places along the perimeter from which you can view the animals on exhibit. The balance of the exhibits are smaller, but they are all very nice.
