I am interested in using your photo on the frontpage of my website. I have lived in Atlanta since 1986 and believe that your photo shows a positive vibrant picture of Atlanta. I like your photo better than other ones that I have seen. The picture would be featured on my website with buttons below to search for properties, featured properties, info about the real estate company, etc.

Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Woodster.

Glad you like the image. I sent you a Private Message. It should pop-up automatically when you visit dgrin.

If it doesn't, you have have a pop-up blocker turned on. In that case, just go to "Quick Links" on the banner across the top of this message, second from the right, and click on Private Messages.

Here is what your shot looked like in 1955.

The spot is on the North Avenue bridge over Interstate 75.

On the Georgia Tech side of the the bridge, on the south side, there's a small hole in the fence. Set up there with a tripod, and you can get something like this.

Patch29 showed me this, and told me how to shoot it.

I went back a couple of times before I got it right.

Sid,

I'm a few years late to finding your post. It's a great shot!! I'll be in Atlanta tomorrow night. Do you know if this shot is still possible? I was in Atlanta in November near this area and couldn't find a way to shoot at the locating I was at due to the plants they put un on the overpass.

Sid has been MIA in Dgrin for several years.

There is a very long, entertaining post in "Mind your business" about this shot.

I suspect Atlanta is still there - the bridge access is across from the Varsity. It's been three years, so they might have fixed the fence - but knowing Atlanta politics, maybe not!

Nik knows more.......
