Atlanta City skyline shot
Really, it's only half the city. But it makes for a nice skyline shot of Atlanta.
The spot is on the North Avenue bridge over Interstate 75. On the Georgia Tech side of the the bridge, on the south side, there's a small hole in the fence. Set up there with a tripod, and you can get something like this. ![]() Patch29 showed me this, and told me how to shoot it. I went back a couple of times before I got it right.

This is right by The Varsity, by the way, if you have a hankering for an overrated hotdog and some tasty onion rings.

Excellent shot i have one question i am in big problem as 14th August is coming city will be decorated with lights and i will be there my problem is "when i am shooting a scene like this cars coming from front their head lights spoil whole image unlike your smooth river of white lights it is like full size sun in the picture is this problem with small cameras ? decreasing shutter speed wont help cars going away from lens are ok ![]()

How close will you be? Will you be at ground level, or above? What time of day will you shoot? I'm guessing I was about 60 meters or so from the nearest headlights, and as you can see, there wasn't a problem. It probably helped that I was also above them and shooting from the side. Also, I was not shooting in complete darkness. So my guess would be that as long as the headlights are not coming directly at your lens, and you shoot while there's still a little bit of light in the sky (my favorite time of day to shoot) you should be OK. ![]()
