A friend visited over the weekend and brought his Fuji F30 P&S with him. I wish he had not. :D Now I and at least 2 friends of mine just *had to* order this camera.

I've read good things about the camera. The only thing that makes me pause are the reports of purple fringing. If you get one, I'd love to see how it handles high contrast edges.

remember when $350 bought you a crappy 2mp camera slightly better than a today's camera phones? And now you get 3x optical zoom, ISO3200!!!, and 6mp. Wow.

that's a great looking photo - Sid, I'd say there's some pretty high contrast in that chrome. It looks good to me at this size.

From some other test shots that I have seen, I have to agree with that statement.

However, when I receive the camera I will take more test shots and report.

    Amazing, isn't it?

As to the purple fringing, I have not been able to get any in my tests this afternoon.

Fuji F30 max XD card size?
What is maximum size XD card that can be used with the Fuji F30? From downloading the manual it looks like 1GB. Anybody confirmed larger cards working?

The 2GB cards were just announced and are supposed to be out in September.
