New user, start off with a couple of large panoramas
Folks
My name is Anand and I am an amateur photographer from the San Francisco Bay Area. I start with a couple of panoramas I stitched, hope to spend more time here :) ![]() ![]() Hmm, should I leave them as URLs? |

Welcome Anand! I'm glad you made it over here.
Everyone this is Anand, a very experienced photographer in the Bay Area. He is just branching into studio work, so expect some good shots in the near future. Looking forward to our next outing. I'm heading out to Oakland right now for some shots in their slums. Hopefully I come back with great photos and nothing broken. Wish me luck. Dave

Yep, I had to scroll ten minutes before reaching the end... lol it would be nice to see them full on the screen so we can get a nice overview. The power of the pano is gone because I have to scroll so long.

I am a huge fan of yours. Your smugmug gallery inspired me to get a pro account in smugmug. My gallery is http://clix.smugmug.com. Of course, your logo for the website triggered me to do the logo for my smugmug ;) You are such an inspiring photographer. I feel very glad to hear from you. anand |

I know what you mean :). I should limit myself to 3-4 photos in the portrait orientation. That way, I don't lose viewers. I think such large portraits (9:1 and 10:1 ratios) are best seen printed :) |

Nice landscapes in your galleries...
I see we have covered a lot of the same ground even though I live on the north coast. I wish I was into photography when I visited utah. The lighthouse looks like it could use a little perspective correction. It's leanin a bit. I shot that lighthouse when I was in San Fransisco last spring. |

Yeah, you are right. I need to correct perspective in many of my wide angle shots :( |

Anand,
Nice work--I see you're a fan of the South Bay :) I'd like to hit Stanford one day in the afternoon sun. I rode through there Saturday and it was just beautiful. Also took a quick peek at a very small church just off of Washington Ave (block or so N of California) on my way over to K&S. Welcome! Ian |

The best time to catch Stanford is early morning when the sun shines on the facade of the church. We also have an active photo club in South Bay and we hang out here: http://www.soocool.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2 We are planning to visit Monterey next Saturday to catch Monarch butterflies :). anand |
