I'm not sure if this should be here or in customization.

I would like to set a gallery that shows all my latest added pics to other galleries without making a second copy of the same picture. It would be like the keyword feature where there is a link to the picture in the original gallery, but the gallery itself would be accessible on my page without having to click a keyword.

Is this possible in anyway?

The "Most Popular Photos" is a perfect example. I'm looking fo a gallery template to place existing photos into without having to make copies and to have the see photo in gallery link automatically available.

    Hi :)

Off the top of my head, I would keyword the photos you want in that gallery with the word, say, "recent." The link then for all those photos would be, i.e., http://nickname.smugmug.com/keyword/recent. It would show the link to the original file, etc. You could link to that gallery from your home page. If I'm on the right track ...

15524779-Ti.gif that sounds like the best answer. You can link to it anywhere, by text or you can use an image.

Looks like the timeline feature will kind of do what you want.

Set to "Show by date uploaded", pick the date range and click browse.

You'll end up with a URL similar to
    http://acctname.smugmug.com/date/2006-05-20/2006-06-4

I wondered if the "templatechange" technique would work with dates. It does! Try this format:

Now to suggest that smugmug add a feature (if it isn't already there) to allow the date range to equal the last n-days.
    [feature request just added... http://www.dgrin.com/showpost.php?p=323545&postcount=263]

OK I know I hid it once, but I am unable to find the timeline feature again. I don't see it in my control panel or when logged into my homepage.

Also, rather than a link, I would like to have the latest photos as a featured gallery. I think I'm going to have to do the double photo thing.

    Hi :)

Mine has disappeared also, but I'm fairly certain it has to do with the customization somehow. You can, however, find it like this:

OK, hopefully you've seen the Mass "Make 2nd copy" utility post in the Hacks forum. I've not tried it yet, but it might be a good way to copy images from multiple galleries into a "recently uploaded" featured gallery. Good luck.

I've used this utility and it works great!
