This is Lorna Feijoo rehearsing for Serenade (Tchaikovsky / Balanchine):

Her partner here is Carlos Molina:

This is Karine Seneca at practice for Raymonda (Glazunov / Petipa):

These professional dancers are really amazing. This is from the very first rehearsal of Spring Waters (Rachmaninoff / Messerer.) Trinidad Vives (right, back to the camera) is going over the dance for the first time with Kathleen Combes and Sabi Varga.

They watched an old video of a Bolshoi performance and roughed out the basic elements of the dance.

45 minutes later, they had the basic movements and were starting to work on turning it into a performance.

If not now, when?

These are really nice. I like the second one and the one second from the bottom. :)

I really like the composition of the first one (window - jumper - dancer)

the second is nice but the window behind here is distracting.

I really enjoy your dance photos. Awesome spacial composition; background elements provide interest, such as the man in the mirror and the room adjacent to the studio. Great shots!

I really like your shots. Awesome place to shoot...so much to look at (pretty lighting, reflections, observers in the background..), not to mention the athletic ability, grace and emotions of the dancers. Really nice. thumb.gif

Very nice photos. It helps that you have beautiful, athletic, and graceful subjects.
