I was looking at the pocket wizard after Shay Stephens posts on the wireless triggers, and, thinking that it would be way out of my price range, the first site on google in the UK is This. It works with a 580ex but only on manual but costs a fraction of the price of a Pocket wizard. Does anyone have any knowledge of system. I have one 580 and can borrow a second one. At that price, it seems too good to be true in comparison to the Pocket Wizard. Am I missing something?

Cheers
Stan

More wag. Less Bark.
I've seen a couple of different systems that are less expensive than PW's.

Most have shorter ranges or other limitations that would prevent them from
being used professionally but otherwise, seemed ok for use in smaller venues.

I went the PW route (not the real expensive set) because it was a known
qty and because so many other people have had such good luck with them.

If you pick one up, let us know it works for you. Ebay has some cheap ones as well.

...And it's all Shay's fault :-)

Seriously, they are not THAT expensive, and seems like a good investment.
However, the alternative route of (580EX + several 420 as slaves) can be also a viable option.
In any case: each time I'm setting up my totally wireless lights on a new locaation I'm SO glad I set on strobes...
