Has anyone used this new plug-in that I have found? It is called Virtual Photographer and is free at this web site: http://www.optikvervelabs.com/.

I am quite impressed with the ease of use (and of course the price). Any comments anyone?

Mitch, I am impressed with the site, and the idea, whatever it is. Looks like it has a lot of applications.

Is your computer set up so that you know you didn't get any spyware, or viruses with it. I am a bit nervous on that issue. The site looks cleaner than my house, by a long way, can't imagine a bug of any sort living there.

Anyone else going to jump in? Any downsides?

Ginger, I scanned the file for viruses and it came up clean. The download and installation was a snap. I'm having a lot of fun with this plug-in. My B&W pics have always looked flat when I've done them. This plug-in is easy to use and the results are quite nice.
    Enjoy!

This Free Photoshop Plugin deserves a bump!
A friend just sent me this >link< to Virtual Photographer and it's a pretty awesome little plugin. I paid big $$$ for Auto FX's special effects bundle, and Virtual Photographer gives you a lot of the same capabilities for ZERO dollars spent! I also can highly recommend it! And now I'm off to play~ :)

I have used this plug-in to good effect for some time - also without any problems too.

Whilst on the subject of b+w plug-ins, I have also found the Red Prince stuff good too - check out www.redprince.net

Yes, I have it ... Works Wonderful! thumb.gif
BUT, I have a desktop (G5) mac w/a nice size screen and a windows laptop ... so, whenever I want to use it I have to use my windows laptop (smaller screen).

I hope they come out with a mac version sooner rather than later.

Anyone got a good plugin for x-processing yet? There was a comment earlier asking about that.

Sounds like you've got spyware. I don't see the words "plug" and or "Word" changing into hyperlinks.

Yeah, I found whatever it was. It was called RX Search. It only shows up on my comp, or whoever else has it. I uninstalled it from the Add/Remove Programs. It came with VitualPhotographer after I installed it.rolleyes1.gif
