Desert Peaks - Boundary & Montgomery

Highest point in Nevada is Boundary Peak (13,140') and few hundred feet higher and crossing into California is the Montgomery Peak(13,441). They are part of White Mountain range in California and Nevada, across from Sierra-Nevada Range. I was lucky to bag them last weekend.

Here are few that I thought were worth sharing. Any and all feedback is welcome!

1) Sunset at base-camp

2) Wildflower at sunset

3) View of Boundary Peak while approaching Montgomery Peak

4) View from top of Boundary Peak

5) Another view from Boundary Peak - like the Gendarme sticking out

6) Same Gendarme on the way down

7) Montgomery peak has very little space at peak itself and I was beat so this is the best shot - climber holding American Flag that we found in the summit-register. In background we can see Boundary peak below us

That's some real impressive work. It's tough enough to just get to the site, shooting with the skills shown here is a whole different accomplishment. Well done.thumb.gif

I'd always thought Wheeler was the tallest in Nevada-boy, what a surprise. Wikipedia says Boundary is but qualifies it by saying Wheeler is the tallest independent peak.

Great set of images. Love the summit picture with the flag. Classic look to it.

Hey Taz, Cristóbal gave this one a bump and I hadn't seen it before. These are all just incredible! I can't believe how special your landscape shots are and #'s 1,2 and 5 are eek7.gifbowdown.giflustclap.gif! Sorry I'm late to the party here but you deserve to still be hearing about these! Regards!

Thanks guys! Someone bumped up 2 year old thread. If I tried to clime those peaks today, I will most certainly die.
    Need to hit gym again!
    Cheers.
