Return of the microscaper

Good to see so many of the regulars still posting here. I've been so inactive for so long that I feel a bit strange posting again, but lately I've been finding such great light in the forest that I'll share.

While this is macro by most modern standards, it isn't extremely close. I do mostly microscapes and lately have been trying to incorporate dappled sunlight in my shots. It's made me have to be quicker off the mark than ever before because the light changes in minutes or sometimes seconds. All part of the challenge. Or the torture. Depending on how you look at it.

Thanks. I've been working on using natural light on this scale the way landscape photographers use it in the big picture. No reason the little guys shouldn't get the same treatment.

The spider web in this one just knocks me out. The 'shroom itself is less than 1 inch high. Both shot with my 80s vintage Olympus 90mm macro.

Thanks Don. Everyone and their sister is a landscape photographer, but I'm just about the only microscape photographer I know. : )
