Interesting that Google acquired Nik for their iPhone and Android app, not the rest of the portfolio. Hope this doesn't mean the rest of the company gets buried.

I don't like the sound of this.

After Adobe, Nik makes the most elegant useful photographic software on the planet, IMO.

This recently posted on the NIk FB page:

In a post to the Google+ community earlier today, Google Senior Vice President, Engineering Vic Gundotra reaffirmed the company’s support for Nik Software’s professional product line. In the post, Gundotra said, “we’re going to continue offering and improving Nik’s high-end tools and plug-ins.” http://cot.ag/Scszqy

Accused Shill.
I still have the Google Video player on my computer. Oh, and Google Browser Sync. And remember Picnic?

With respect, Andy, as someone who used that product when it was integrated with Bibble, it is in no way, shape, or form a replacement for Nik's high end offerings. It's just a different product altogether.
