So yeah, I don't have a proper Macro but shot this handheld with some trick shooting... Thoughts?

I like it!

"Close ups or macros" so I wouldn't sweat the macro thing

Personally I'd go for a deeper depth of focus. Maybe try closer to straight on. Pretty cool effect though. I love the lighting.
