Tutorials

Ever find yourself wondering just how someone managed to create an image using different effects?

Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Big picture in the sky
I think 1 is the better one here.

In #1, it feels honest and not contrived. However, that table, you should have been able to move it or at least compose the image so that doesn't seem so out of place.

#3 is a good formal, but pull back a little to get all of the brides maids in and take out the table.

Thanks guys! As for the tables, I didn't even think about moving the table in the first picture, although I probably should have. The table in the second picture, however, I DID try to move, but it was friggin bolted to the floor!! I'm serious! Both I and a bridesmaid grabbed it and went to lift and wound up almost dislocating our shoulders LOL.

As for the "overprocessed" black and white shot, I like high contrast, but how would you go about getting the detail in the dress back?
