Along I-84 just east of Boise.

1. Just getting broadside here.

2. Crew working the edge halfway from where the fire began.

That line of cars behind me is about a mile long about this time. Some folks just gotta get home first I guess I will admit it was as hot on that road waiting as being closer to that fire would have been. I heard they closed the west bound lanes sometime after I drove by. Fire got right to the edge of the road shortly after.

3. And here appears to be what started the blaze. Hard to say what inspired them to go off roading just right there. Motivated I guess. Even the critters don't like to be out there in this heat.
Resembled a Toyota Forerunner but I just can't be positive.
No ambulance... so thats a good thing A couple weeks later another driver fell asleep, over corrected, and has his vehicle start a fire in similar fashion. No injuries. When this fire got put out I was hoping we were getting over the worst of it. But it is not to be just yet.

Thanks Royce Had to figure I was going to catch hell for this particular highly unrecommended method of acquiring the shots.
Guess they are discussing closing access to Featherville. Maybe more. Still waiting to hear.
