    No results?? I get about 2,880,000 results!:D
The fact that your site is not one of the first ones, has more to do with Google's ranking of your site. I don't know how to influence that.

When i googled this: "capecodphotoimagery" i got a hit to your site.
I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

Thanks Andy---just one question what is "keywork" and does this refer to the keywords for photos on my site?
    Thanks again,

That's what Andy meant - add keywords to your photos and galleries. :):

Smugmug has done something recently I think that makes google really love the keyword search. I get tons of hits from this alone. Let me see if I have any right now

    ...

Yup. Try googling this this: photography and glass sculpture

See what you get. See how it takes you to a keyword result page? I've already had a couple of sales based upon this. If you're not using keywords on all your photos, you are truly missing out.

Are keywords worth anything on a password protected gallery (just to get the site higher up in the google rankings)?

Nope. But why not create an unprotected samples gallery (or several) and keyword the heck out of it?

password protection negates benefits of keywords

When I've inquired about this before, it has basically seemed like keywords are of no benefit at all when you password protect the gallery. They won't be indexed or searched by smugmug, they won't be indexed or searched by Google and they can't even be used within your site by someone who has supplied the password credentials to that forum.

Since I shoot several large school events and have to password protect the photos, it bums me that I can't get any benefit from keywords because those are the very large galleries that could benefit the most from them. The last time i asked if we'd ever see full support in password protected galleries, I was given almost no chance that this would change (though I'd love to be proven wrong).
