Large hoverfly Volucella zonaria
During a rare spell of sunshine on Sunday morning, I found a Volucella zonaria male hoverfly doing territorial flights from a small tree in the garden. Managed several times to get it to land on my fingers after a flight (last 3 shots).
First 2 shots strong natural light, others full flash- mix of MPE-65 and Tamron 90 shots. Brian v. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
