Found this guy crawling across the living room (identify?)
![]() So I'm wondering if it would be safe to put this little guy back into the backyard. I figured it accidentally crawled into the house. There's mucho bugs out there now, good hunting for the little guy, but is the little bugger safe to have around just in case it crawls back in? Discuss. Thanks :)

My guess would also be a wolf spider (fairly harmless)

I agree that it looks like a Wolf spider.
I would strongly suggest moving the spider to bushes, tall grass or overlapping rocks, at least 50 feet from the house. Wolf spiders are funnel web spiders and burrowers and I don't like them in the house. While they will mainly stay out of site and avoid humans, if they are cornered they can be aggressive. Children and small pets are especially vulnerable and can get a fever from a Wolf spider bite in some cases. |
