.FFF file conversion trouble
I have been given permission to work on some .FFF files, but they will not convert for me. I've tried many different converter programs and tried .TIFF and .JPG and they all come out looking the same - purple and green. All of the .3FR files worked great. Not up on how the Hassey's work but it seems like they produce a .3FR and then at some point they got converted to .FFF. Maybe the conversion went wrong... ??? Any help appreciated

A quick search turned up this, http://www.ivanview.com/converter/ff...converter.html . Don't know anything about it, but it does claim to convert .fff images to other image formats.

Best bet if simply renaming to .tif won't work is to go here and download the software from Hasselblad: http://www.hasselbladusa.com/service...e-archive.aspx

Thanks for taking the time to search, Dan, but that is just one of the many converters that I tried, that resulted in the .JPG that I attached :(

It could perhaps be that the problem lies with the .3FR to . FFF conversion and that I am working with bad .FFF files.

renaming the file won't work - lots of threads out there saying that. BUT downloading Phocus just might be my ticket! That's the program that was used to convert the .3FR to .FFF and it has a system requirement of minimum 512MB on the video card and something tells me that maybe the person that converted them didn't have that and hence the poor conversion. Now, if I can just get my hands on the original .3FR files... (if they still exist)

This is a proprietary format of Imacon/Hasselblad, you’ll need to be using their software.

Thanks guys!
I had read about Phocus in a couple of threads, but never read that it was Hasselblad's software. Thanks to Dan's link, I've installed it and it is working like a champ! Now on to editing!! - Karen
