Nikon 14-24 with canon 5D MK II
Hi All.

I'm wondering if anyone of you has any experience of aperture control adaptor to use Nikon 14-24mm f 2.8 with canon 5D mk II . It should not allow any light leakage/play. Suggestions for the adaptor are welcome.

Or is there any other better combo as i'm really impressed with sharpness of this lens.

Thanks

I have no knowledge of adaptors but have you considered using it with the Nikon D800 instead of the 5D II? If you are mainly a landscape photographer, the D800 seems to be a great choice (this coming from a long time Canon user ). You could sell the 5D II for about 1700 and, given the price of the adaptor being about 500, spend an extra 700 to get a much improved landscape camera/lens combination.

You can use practically ANY Nikon lens on a Canon camera. I've done it many times. Fotodiox makes adapters, but I've had good luck with the Kawa adapters on Ebay. I've bought numerous adapters from them. The adapters are inexpensive at around $15.

You don't get any auto-features though. No auto aperture or autofocus. This is true of putting any other brand of lens on your camera with an adapter.

I love the way you think. You justify stuff better than I do! But I would say, keep the 5DII because I already have these other lenses, then I would have 2 awesome setups..........
