Shot using my brand new Sony Alpha SLT-A35 camera, and two 1993 Minolta AF Zoom lenses.

Shot #1. is using Minolta AF Zoom 70-210 F/4.5-5.6, also using the camera's built in "Pop Color" setting.
Shot #2 is using Minolta AF Zoom 35-70 F/3.5-4.5, shot in manual mode with no camera presets.
Both were shot RAW, and scaled down to 1600x1200, then converted to jpeg, otherwise no PP done.

Post-processing is not really a bad thing, you know. Number #1
could be a very good shot if you'd level the horizon and crop it
down at the top so the greenery is solid. The patch of sky at
the right is an eye-catcher. Also, the slanted tree at the left
in the background could stand cloning out.

While all don't normally agree with this, I don't feel that standard
ratios have to be used unless it's an image to be printed. If you
do feel a standard ratio should be maintained, then crop top and
    left.

I know I don't follow ratios very often, it's a flaw of mine and I'm trying to get better at it.

Also, I don't intend to print.... well anything I do, it's mainly for looking at online and on computers, I may have something printed for the house here at home to hang on a wall or something but otherwise probably never printed.. nope.

I've never been very good at PP, when ever I get something that looks right to me, it usually looks like I've brought up the colors to a point where it would be totally un-natural looking and I just always have been feeling "Everyone will look at this and instantly know I modified it." so I usually don't bother. My new camera shoots pretty good pictures all around without PP, I'm happy with it.
