Can the nodules in #1 be removed by a ferrous surfatologist?...

Ya 1 & 2... The pump up on number 2 looks nice and I do like the natural for shot 1. Your push on image 2 has likely solved a problem for me. I can hardly wait to try it out and see if it will chg my shot from ho humm to something worth looking at.

Mary, these are natural occurring globs of iron in limestone layers which have been eroded into exposure and rusted. I found it quite fun to come across them!

As to the rust plate of #3, it was on some electrical panel or HVAC equipment on the back of a building in Northampton, MA, not far from the Thorn's parking lot.
