http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/2160039 is what I am following and I want my galleries to have their thumbnails on this page, no categories first, I just cant think how I get them to this 2nd homepage

oops! nearly forgot, the custom banner from this tutorial doesnt appear to centre, where can I change that?

So you need to enable the galleries box under the homepage layout button.

As for your header. The image you are using is 800x214 px. But in the code you are making a box that is 850x227 px. So you will want to make the size match the size of the image.

Should that be Featured Galleries or Gallery Categories Eric? From the 2nd homepage I want probably 6 galleries, but I seem to still have a 2 stage selection to get to wedding images. Think categories makes it another jump?

To avoid having to click on a category then click on the gallery to see photos should all galleries share the one category? I'm tying myself up in mental knots trying to sort this out. Is it unavoidable given that I have a 2nd homepage happening because of the slideshow?
I want to achieve -if poss - the galleries on the 2nd homepage, not going categories then galleries.

In the upper right corner on the galleries page is a control (when logged in) that will let you toggle between category display and gallery display. Clicking on gallery display should do what you want (eliminate the categories and only have gallery thumbnails).
