Packages not showing up?
Hi! I'm new to smugmug and I am trying to navigate my way around before I allow clients to run through their galleries.

I've got a gallery uploaded, and the pricing options for a la carte are up and seem to be fine...but I've set several print packages up and I can't seem to access them for the gallery! I tried logging out and acting as though I were the client, and purchase a package, but nothing happens.
Have I missed a step?
Thanks in advance!

Krista,

I am not sure exactly what was going on. Can you try reassigning your WHCC pricelist to the galleries you want it to apply to? it should work now. For any gallery that you do not set a price list to, the default pricelist should now apply correctly.

Email us on the help desk if you continue to have problems.

I set the WHCC prices to be my default for all galleries, and the packages still show "All Galleries".
I logged out and signed in as the client, still nothing happens with the package button.

I have sent an email, thanks for the quick response!

I got an email from the support heroes that basically said since I'm using Jquery, they aren't compatible with packages and to post in the forums.
I'm not sure what to do next. :(

Krista,
Sounds like some of your javascript code is conflicting with our package feature. I'd suggest you post in our customization forum for assistance.
I'm no customization expert, but it might be possible to just use the jquery code that's part of SmugMug and not to include jquery yourself.

Not that I've played with packages yet, but I intend to. How would I know if the customizations that I've added (all of which are from this forum posts) has JQuery stuff in it? Thanks.

I've only seen this issue occur if a person was loading a javascript library .js file from an external site (something like this).

But you would know if your code were to conflict with the packages feature. In that case the buy button > packages option would just not do anything.

Is there a better fix for this than "don't use external JS libraries"? I load JQuery off a CDN and it works pretty nicely, but like you said, clicking Buy > Photo Package does nothing. :-(

Crazy like a fox
I've searched these forums and every post is just talking about how loading an external (in my case Google) jQuery library breaks the packages button. No one seems to have a real solution. I just spent a few weeks of my limited spare time redesigning my site and as far as I can tell, the packages button is the only thing that my jQuery has broken.

Good god I really hate designing around SmugMug. If I have to do another redesign now because I can't use JQuery, I might as well just design a site using another photo host and start from scratch.

Has ANYONE found a good solution to this problem besides stripping out their jQuery?

Well since there is no answer anywhere on this site, I thought I'd let folks know the solution that I used to work around this problem. It's not the most elegant, and probably increases my page loading times, and is probably frowned upon by true web developers, but it seems to work for my site.

I only had a few main pages that were using the JQuery library, and none were being used on my actual galleries. So I took my link to google's JQuery library out of my head tag and just dropped it at the start of my html customizations on each page that needed to access the library. My pages work, and my button for packages works now too. Hope this helps someone who runs across similar problems.
