Gems from annual file cleanup
Deep into winter in AK and starting to think about the upcoming photography season. That always inpires me to go back and purge files form last year. Invariably there are a few gems that needed some processing. Here are a few from this year's exercise. Bears and eagles so far...

This guy was searching on the bottom in the eddies behind rocks for spawned out salmon. Not too bad for an image shot at ISO 3200.

This second year cub was lying a few feet away from mom and his sibling which I posted months ago in this post

Mamma bear and her spit n image.

This eagle caught a salmon that was too heavy to fly with. It had to swim ashore and drag the fish out on the bank. Here he's catching his breath.

Dan, this post is a complete explanation of what a great photographer you are. Few of us would have the opportunity to "overlook" gems like these! Every one a winner! I like them partly because there is a sense of action in every one, especially the first. Also, your processing sure worked. They look great. Best, Pam

Thanks, Pam. That is awefully complimentary. Opportunity has a lot to do with it. I'm blessed to live in Alaska which offers plenty of that. The first bear shot and the eagle needed a good bit of processing to "reclaim" them. Glad you liked them.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
